Our Mission Statement

Our purpose is to encourage:

  1. A life of trust and dependence on the Lord (Ps. 37:3,5,7,34; Ps. 127:1-2);
  2. Holy, godly living, walking in a manner to please our Lord (1 Peter 1:14-16; Col. 1:10; Eph. 4:1); Living sensibly, righteously and godly and denying worldly desires (Titus 2:12);
  3. Not being conformed to the world (Rom 12:2), being unstained by the world (James 1:27) & not loving the world (James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17); examining everything carefully in order to abstain from evil while holding on to what is good (1Thess. 5:21-22)
  4. Fathers to be good leaders/rulers of their households (1 Tim. 3:4-5), loving their wives as Christ loved the church (Eph 5:25-33; Col 3:19); teaching their children the ways of the Lord (Deut 6:6-9), and protecting their families (Proverbs 14:14-15 & 22:3; Ps. 127:1);
  5. Mothers to be keepers/workers at home, loving their husbands and children, in submission to their husbands (Titus 2:4-5);
  6. The love of children and the acceptance of them as unqualified blessings from God (Ps. 127:3-5);
  7. Seeking a peaceful & quiet life (1 Thess. 4:11; 1 Tim. 2:2)

     We seek to accomplish this mission through the media of a magazine, and to a lesser degree, correspondence and conversations. Our magazine includes articles of encouragement, advice and instruction, often sharing very openly from our lives or the lives of others. We also commonly include articles on controversial issues affecting Christian families - seeking to objectively analyze such issues with a desire to please the Lord.
    We are available to share from our experience and what we have learned thus far in our "pilgrimage." We offer ourselves as just one of many Christian couples who have walked certain paths a bit longer or farther than some, who are willing to lend a helping hand.  Our path has included a marriage of over 30 years, home schooling for  24 years; raising 4 children to adulthood and 2 others about half way; about  8 years experience as grandparents (soon to be 9 grandchildren); two home birth VBACs following four cesarean sections; experience with one daughter and one son being married through Christian courtship; building our own home with the help of our older four children and moving to the country; from 20+ years working in a major corporation, to home businesses, homesteading, and farming; some experience with home churches; etc. If you have interests or are seeking advice in some of these areas - we are available.
